Sedum pachyphyllum - Blue Jelly Bean

$8.00Price

Blue Jelly Bean (Sedum pachyphyllum) (Rose): A much-loved mini with blue-green foliage shaped like fingers. Grow this one in bright sunlight to get pink blushing at the leaf tips. It branches freely and can reach up to 12.0" tall. Tall, leggy plants take well to pruning and any cuttings can re-root and grow into new plants. This species grows tall bloom stalks with yellow, star-shaped flowers.

Soft Sedum need bright sunlight to maintain their colors and full leaf coverage. They will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light.

Like most succulents, soft Sedum need great drainage and deep, infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 50% to 70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. Water deeply enough for water to run out the drainage hole, then wait for the soil to fully dry before watering again.
